About us

So who are we and why are we the best?

Hostel in Ramallah was the first ever hostel in the city and remains the cheapest and most popular. The hostel is owned by local brothers Chris and Bubu, who want to share their passion for life, travel, and love of their country with you. Aided by an ever-changing group of international volunteers, we live and work together as a family and we like our guests to feel they are extended members. We enjoy spending time with our guests, organising tours and even taking regular impromptu days out with them. We're also happy to share our ideas and knowledge to help you plan the best trip that Palestine can offer you, whether you enjoy beautiful hiking spots, ancient historical sites, political interest points, or simply want to find the best ice cream in Palestine (hint: It's here in Ramallah, within walking distance of the hostel).

But don't just take our word for it, here's what our guests have to say:

- Hostelworld = 9.3 (superb)
- Hostelbookers = 100%
- Booking.com = 8.8 (Fabulous)
-Trip Advisor = 5.0

(We are rated especially high for location, cleanliness, value and staff)

These are just a handful of our excellent reviews, you will find many more of course, but really, come and see what all the fuss is about yourself. We look forward to meeting you! Regardless of age, gender, belief system or terrible choice in music, YOU are welcome to our family.

Volunteer in Palestine

Here at the hostel we offer opportunities to volunteer with us in Ramallah. In exchange for your work, we offer you a free dorm bed and food. Rotating shifts and regular days off mean you will have plenty of time to explore Palestine at your own leisure, as well as the opportunity to be a part of our family here. Work is varied and can be anything from helping out with guests, using your artistic or practical skills to help us build and beautify the hostel, or helping out at our organic eco farm. We like to work hard and we like to play hard and we'd love you to be a part of our diverse community. Furthermore, many of our volunteers have been able to secure work with local NGOs using the hostel as a base to get to know the area and to research the organisations that work here such as UNWRA, PSD and Red Cross. For more information just get in contact and we can find the right role for you.
